To acknowledge International Women's Day, I wanted to see which Goddess had a message for today and out popped IXCHEL (ISH-Chell).

(I don't think there is a more feminine card in my deck of Goddess Oracle Cards!)

Feminine Energy www.spiritedspace.org

Ixchel is the Mayan Moon Goddess who is married to the Mayan Sun God.

She is the embodiment of the Moon and all waters - connected to the rain and the tides of the ocean. Ix- Goddess of the Feminine. Chel - rainbow or light

She represents Yin. She represents the Feminine. She represents Nurture. She represents Healing. She is mother of all.

She is in charge of medicinal plants, healing and the moon phases. She carries a great deal of spiritual knowledge and holds a clay pot of rainwater and herbs.

She is also strongly linked to the Menstrual Cycle, which all women once experienced during the Full Moon. (Perfect timing as we just experienced March's Full Moon!)

She also represents Self Empowerment; deriving the strength to do something through one's own thoughts. based on the belief that one knows what is best for oneself

Ixchel comes to you to remind you that you are your own healer. You have access to Spirit, healing energy, life force, feminine healing power, inner guidance and love - and it resides within you.

She reminds you to re-connect and embrace this; to heal your life in every area. She will assist you in finding that place within, to heal yourself.

And as I write down what is coming through from Ixchel, with the intention of sharing something interesting with you, I realise this message was also for me - as I follow my own healing journey. Healing myself and helping to heal others.

Happy International Women's Day beautiful Goddesses!
